史陶比尔成功研发其第一个自主移动机器人系统

概述

2017年,史陶比尔工业机器人团队设计并研发出一款创新的移动机器人系统:HelMo,实现其在工作区域内自行操纵与控制方向的功能。通过三台集成激光扫描仪,该系统可以持续地监控周围环境,并确保以全自动方式,高速完成所有操作。必要时,这一系统还能够与人协同工作。

当世界各地企业都在设想今后的生产蓝图时,史陶比尔当下正默默为其追求的平稳未来而努力规划。在HelMo的试验项目中,工作人员可以与自主移动机器人系统协同工作。

在史陶比尔位于德国Bayreuth的组装车间,HelMo每日清晨反馈工作情况的场景宛如重现了科幻电影中的画面。这一移动机器人系统能够独立地在其工作区域内自行操纵与控制方向,当工作人员距离过近时可自动减速或停止运行,待工作人员离开后再重新启动。
在这一系统所可能执行的众多任务中,复杂的装配工作对精度要求尤为严苛。HelMo必须对此有所准备。在实践中,HelMo可实现以下情况来达到所需精度:控制机器人自身定位精度误差小于0.1毫米,并通过三个永久安装于工作单元的测量点校准位置。在此之后机器人才开始移动运转。
深入了解HelMo所能执行的各类任务后,我们就能迅速明白为何工人们将乐此不疲地将这些工作托付给机器人。例如,为耦合装置组装电连接器时,每个触针都必须精准地插入连接器中:抓取插针,精确放置,然后推至指定位置。这些操作循环往复,一成不变。若采取人工执行,一方面使人感到单调,枯燥且乏味;另一方面,经过长时间工作,容易造成更高的出错率。而HelMo能够完美胜任这类操作,并始终保持所需精度。

构建更灵活的工作团队

重新审视机器人组装连接器这一应用,我们能清楚史陶比尔项目经理Gerhard Geyer所注重的“辅助者”一词的内涵。HelMo能够如工作人员一般自如地围绕工作区域移动:抓取空连接器罩壳,将其精确放置到设备上。接着从搁板上取下装有插针的塑料容器,并移至给料机,取出插针放置在传送带上使其两两分离。随后一个一个地抓起插针并快速精准地安装到连接器中。组装工序一旦完成,装载好的连接器罩壳就被取下,另一个组装工序则将开始。
如果说目前机器人的工作主要是组装连接器,那么在未来,机器人也可以配置到激光打标系统中或其他需要移动机器人系统的专门应用。这一持续性的试验项目主要目的在于使HelMo能够高效地集成于现有加工工艺中,同时为将来投入批量生产总结宝贵经验。
为了使HelMo在未来工业环境中得到更充分灵活的运用,产品设计和内部物流部门必须明确前进方向。只有这样,才能像史陶比尔德国Bayreuth所预期的那样,成功实施创新的、人机协作的生产战略。

HelMo基于TX2系列标准机器人 。TX2touch 90L为适用于直接的人机协作而研发,最大负载15kg,运行范围1200mm。为满足高标准的生产安全需求,这一六轴机器人拥有一系列复杂且安全的配套设备, 包括CS9安全控制装置。另一特色是“安全皮肤(Safety-Skin)”,即采用触敏感应表面,若与人产生直接接触,这一配置可以立即使机器人停止运行。所有的安全功能均获得SIL3-/PLe认证,满足了严苛的安全等级要求。

“移动机器人系统由几个不同模块组成,具有一个自动化工具更换装置。这使HelMo能够得到广泛运用,将工人从繁重枯燥的机械工作中解放出来。我们将机器人更多地视为辅助者,能够始终满足你的需求。”史陶比尔项目经理Gerhard Geyer强调说。
